Visit Timing + Frequency
New Patient Visit – 90 minutes.
Includes intake with discussion of your medical history and chief concerns, as well as a plan for further evaluation and follow-up.
First Follow-up Visit – 45-60 minutes.
Takes place 2-6 weeks after your initial visit. Includes review of labs/tests and questionnaires, and will conclude with a comprehensive, individualized treatment plan based on lab findings, exam, and your health goals.
Subsequent follow-up visits – 15-60 minutes.
Takes place at 2-12 week intervals. We’ll assess your response to treatment, discuss any new or changing symptoms, and see if there is a need for additional testing, or changes to your treatment plan.
WHAT WILL WE DO AT MY INITIAL VISIT?
In your initial visit, we’ll dive into your current health concerns, past medical history, family health history, current supplements, medications, allergies, and your health goals – the works. We usually do not review lab results with you during your first visit since we use the time to focus exclusively on your health goals and your health journey. By the end of our first appointment, we will decide on next steps to set you on the path to wellness. These steps may include the following:
- recommendations for further evaluation and testing
- referrals
- questionnaires
- nutrition diary
- records requests
- initial treatment recommendations
WHAT WILL WE DO AT MY FIRST FOLLOW-UP VISIT?
The first follow-up visit is 45-60 minutes and typically takes place 2-6 weeks after your initial visit. We’ll determine the time needed for follow-up depending on your individual case. Your follow-up visit will include review of labs/tests and questionnaires, and will conclude with a comprehensive, individualized treatment plan based on lab findings, exam, and your health goals.
SHOULD I HAVE MY PAST MEDICAL RECORDS SENT TO YOU AHEAD OF MY FIRST APPOINTMENT?
Nope. We’ll first spend time discussing your health. We’ll request records based on that conversation. You’re welcome to bring records with you to your first visit and we will upload them to your chart.
CAN YOU ORDER LABS FOR ME BEFORE MY INTIAL VISIT?
Nope. That’s illegal. You’ll have to be an established patient with me before we can legally order lab tests.
DO YOU DO TELEMEDICINE?
We prefer to do initial visits in person, though that is not always required. Subsequent visits may be done in person, or via telehealth or phone.
I FEEL WELL AND I JUST NEED A PAP, SHOULD I SEE YOU?
No, but please try one of our local PCPs, or Bridger Care.

HOW DO I GET MY BLOOD DRAWN FOR YOUR LABS?
Our medical assistant, Megan, draws blood in-house. You can also choose have blood drawn at your local hospital labs, or any lab of your choosing. For out of state clients, we use Direct Labs or Rupa Health.
DO YOUR ORDER “FUNCTIONAL LABS”?
Yes! In addition to traditional bloodwork, we often recommend functional evaluations that help understand your unique biochemistry. These tests look beyond the basics and may involve testing your blood, stool, saliva, urine, or hair. We often use the following functional lab companies: Precision Analytical, Diagnostic Solutions, Doctor’s Data, Vibrant America, and Great Plains Laboratory.
CAN I USE MY INSURANCE?
We don’t bill insurance, or communicate with insurance companies. Our staff We can give you a superbill for your visits which includes diagnosis and visit codes. You can submit your superbill to your insurance for reimbursement.
DO YOU TAKE WALK-INS?
Nope. Please call ahead to schedule. We are currently booking new patients about two months out. So if you think we’re a fit, don’t hesitate to become a new patient.
DO YOU SEE PATIENTS OUTSIDE OF MONTANA?
We offer health consulting to clients outside of Montana. Some out of state clients travel to Montana to be seen in person in order to take full advantage of our offerings.
