The primary things I see contribute to liver and digestive strain in my patients include hormones, alcohol, stress, and toxic exposures from everyday life (pumping gas, drinking water, eating packaged foods, to name a few). Cleansing gives the whole body time and targeted nutrient support to process these stressors and reduce their inflammatory effects. The best part? The cleanse we use here at Sparrow is designed for you to eat as much food as you want! We focus on real, whole foods while reducing inflammatory foods. We add a meal-replacement powder and supplements that help push liver function and optimize elimination of waste products. There is opportunity to explore other cleansing habits too, like minimizing screen time, optimizing sleep, practicing mindfulness, and connecting with community.
